The Washington Blade reports that Aubrey Sarvis, executive director of the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network, expects a bill to repeal Don't Ask, Don't Tell (as the military gan ban is commonly known) to be introduced in the U.S. Senate in the next few weeks. The lead Senate sponsor has not yet been identified. In the House, the lead sponsor is Rep. Patrick Murphy (D-PA). Sarvis expects Senate hearings on the bill this fall, and House hearings by early 2010.
