Savage: "Every dead gay kid is a victory for the Family Research Council"

Dan Savage lays out FRC's Tony Perkins for doing everything he can to drive up the suicide rate of gay kids and then citing those suicides as evidence that being gay is unhealthy. It is of course the bigotry being peddled by the likes of Perkins that is unhealthy. Savage dares Perkins to sue, saying, "The witness stand is a lonely place to lie."

I wish Dan Savage well in his efforts. As we have seen in the past few days (and as I predicted in my latest column), Tuesday's historic election has not made the fanatics and haters go away. We must continue to fight them.
